How to add volume to thin hair? What technique can be used to create a contrast in density and thereby emphasize the mass of hair? Our regular expert, Evgeniy Pecheritsa, answered these questions.

Fine hair has a thin inner shaft, which means it is inactive. This characteristic implies that they do not have natural volume.

Volume and extra weight are ideal for fine hair. There are certain methods to solve these problems.

1. Hair mass is created or emphasized using the line technique. If you perform the line technique with a straight cut, a contrast of density is created, and this is ideal for thin hair.

2. Hair volume is created or emphasized using the gradation technique. This technique creates a rounded/oval silhouette, which works to hide the strands of fine hair that often fall into a flat silhouette.

3. Haircut shape . When choosing from three basic shapes – circle, square and triangle – it is important to consider what effect a particular shape creates.

The square shape will create a horizontal line, which gives additional expansion and mass.

The circle will create an extension from the face, that is, it will tighten the perimeter of hair growth, and will also be ideal.

Only a triangular one will emphasize the length of the face, that is, it will increase the emphasis on weak density.

If you correctly combine the line + gradation techniques, as well as the shape of the haircut, you can get the ideal shape for the fine structure of the hair.
