It is not uncommon for a hair stylist to visit a client’s home, and for such cases, each specialist needs to have a “duty” case with all the necessary tools and supplies to create any job.

Let's talk about cases where a specialist travels outside the office. So what exactly should be in a hair stylist's briefcase? Let's look at it in more detail.

- Standard set of tools : curling irons of several diameters, straightening iron, corrugation, if possible, hair dryer. Based on many years of experience, I can say that there are different situations and it is advisable to have at least a small portable hairdryer with you.

- Hairpins, bobby pins, combs . These are self-evident elements for hairstyles and styling. In no case should you forget about them, since clients may not have them.

- For your case, always choose the styling for your work very responsibly. Since each product gives a different result on the hair, you need to clearly understand which jar will give the effect of wet hair, which will smooth it, and which will add shine.

- Varnishes of different fixation , which you will use depending on the structure of the client’s hair and the desired degree of fixation.

- My personal must-haves: dry shampoo and gray spray - suitable not only for their intended use, but also to add volume to the edge line.

I want to pay more attention to various accessories, which at first glance are not always necessary, but in fact are indispensable in the case and make the stylist’s work easier, and also provide insurance in case of unforeseen circumstances.

- Mat for curling irons! It is very important not to forget about it, so as not to accidentally ruin the bride’s sofa or any other covering. With a mat, you don't have to spend a long time looking for a safe position for the tool.

- Extension cord . Usually a specialist has several tools hot at the same time, and it must be taken into account that the workspace in an apartment/photo studio is not thought out for such a purpose. Therefore, it is better to play it safe and carry an extension cord with you, then you can simultaneously heat up all the necessary tools in just a few minutes.

- I recommend using a peignoir while working so as not to leave a residue from styling on the client’s clothes.

- Well, in quarantine conditions, the necessary elements, including a work case, will be an antiseptic, a mask, and wet wipes.
