Concealer is a product for masking local skin imperfections. This beauty product has a soft texture and a high concentration of pigment, which helps hide dark circles under the eyes or other skin imperfections.
Mistake #1
A densely applied product rolls into wrinkles, increasing their number and depth over time.
What to do? Apply a thin layer of concealer using a soft brush or patting movements with your fingers.
Mistake #2
Frequent powdering of concealer for its durability leads to dehydration of the thin and vulnerable skin around the eyes, promotes premature aging, increases the visibility of existing wrinkles and adds age.
What to do? If the concealer has creased, blot off the excess with your finger a couple of minutes after application or blend the product with a clean brush. In this case, you won't have to apply powder.
Mistake #3
Apply concealer not only to dark circles, which are clearly visible in the inner corners of the eyes, but also to the outer corner, where active expression wrinkles are concentrated and age-related changes are visible. Using concealer in this area will emphasize age and add several years to the girl.
What to do? Apply the product only to the area of pronounced dark circles under the eyes, avoiding the area of wrinkles and crow's feet.
Mistake #4
Concealer that is too light (two or more shades lighter than your complexion) creates an unnaturally light tone to the skin around the eyes and is too noticeable on the face.
What to do? Choose the right concealer shade to neutralize dark circles and make your under-eye area more consistent with your complexion.
Mistake #5
Using a persistent product every day leads to skin dehydration and accelerates the aging process.
What to do? For daily use, choose only light moisturizing formulas.
Mistake #6
Using mattifying foundations or correctors for blemishes and age spots as a concealer. These products contain minerals, acids and other components that dry out and accelerate the aging process of the thin skin around the eyes.
What to do? If you don't have concealer on hand, use BB, CC cream or foundation labeled anti-age. They can be used permanently as long as their coverage is enough for you.
