The show of the Dior cruise collection took place and was in no way inferior to the show that the brand demonstrated last year, even despite the absence of spectators.

The creative director of makeup for the Dior brand, Peter Philips, complemented the romantic image of a peasant girl with the most natural makeup that would suit everyone. It was this decision that best emphasized the mood of the collection, which was dedicated to the culture of Maria Grazia Chiuri’s hometown - the Italian town of Lecce.

“For the Dior Cruise 2021 collection, I created the most natural look with radiant skin, only slightly emphasizing the eyes. To do this, I painted the upper eyelashes with black mascara - this allowed me to focus on them without making the image heavier.”

Peter emphasized that dense textures should not be used when creating such makeup. To begin with, the skin needs to be well moisturized so that the foundation lies on it in an even layer. After this, the makeup artist used a primer and a lightweight Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation.

Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer helped hide imperfections. Peter used almost no powder, applying the beauty product only to the T-zone of girls with oily skin to achieve an even and glowing complexion.

Before applying eye makeup, the makeup artist curled the models' eyelashes with a curler, then applied the new Diorshow Iconic Overcurl mascara in shade 090 Over Black to the upper lashes. To shape his eyebrows, Peter used Diorshow Brow Styler pencil and Diorshow Pump 'N' Brow mascara.

For lip makeup, the makeup artist chose Dior Lip Maximizer gloss in the shade Pink.
