Makeup Removal: Do it Gently
Removing fashionable mascara with the effect of false eyelashes from your eyes is a difficult task in itself, but we make it even more difficult. It is important not to cause the slightest sign of irritation. Especially if your skin around the eyes is dry and capricious, and outside the window it’s time for vitamin deficiency and seasonal exhaustion. Therefore, let’s put aside all traditional remedies in the form of creams, foams and beautiful two-phase liquids and turn to softer, but no less effective products.
Micellar eye makeup remover is the right choice when it comes to sensitive eyes. All micellar liquids “feel” like water, but at the same time contain special components that can remove cosmetics. The product turns out to be absolutely transparent, similar to spring water, because the particles of “smart molecules” for removing cosmetics are very small and perfectly dissolve in it (from micelle, literally - “a type of combination of molecules”). True, this does not prevent it from perfectly removing waterproof makeup in 3-4 passes with a cotton sponge.
There are micellar products on the market with different bases. The most inexpensive are PEG-8 Stearate, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Polysorbate-20. They still have a drawback - they can irritate the mucous membranes of the eyes and dry out the skin, so it is better to wash off liquids based on this. More “advanced” foundations - Poloxamer 188, Poloxamer 407, Lauryl Glucoside & Coco Glucoside - are so soft that even if you drop them into your eyes instead of water, there will be no irritation. There is no need to wash off products based on this.

Baked apple effect
Remember the law: the less moisture, the more the apple “shrinks.” Our skin around the eyes similarly becomes covered with crow's feet when it doesn't have enough water. If an apple is “stuffed” with water, it will become elastic. In relation to the eyes: if the cream for the skin around the eyes is rich in moisturizers, then wrinkles are smoothed out as if by magic. The advantage of this approach to anti-aging care is that wrinkle smoothing is completely physiological and safe. The obvious disadvantage is that the effect does not last long while the moisturizers are on the skin.
"Big Water"
Glycerin is the most popular humectant. When it gets on the area around the eyes, it causes the skin to literally “choke” on moisture. We encounter this quite often, but for a different reason. When your hands stay in water for a long time, your fingertips become very wrinkled - they are over-moisturized. Believe me, the skin around the eyes is even more delicate and its reaction to “big water” is appropriate. At first everything is fine - the wrinkles are smoothed out. But in the morning we see a completely different picture: swelling, redness... At such moments, it seems that under the eyes not only the already existing wrinkles have worsened, but also new ones have appeared that were not there before.

“Take it off now!”
Hence the conclusion: when using anti-aging face cream with glycerin, you should not overdo it with the application layer. It is ideal if the eye cream contains glycerin not at the beginning of the composition of the product, but in the middle. Or it won’t exist at all, but vegetable oils will appear in the “first lines”. They “darn the holes” through which moisture evaporated, and also increase the level of skin elasticity. And the oils do all this “free of charge,” that is, without the slightest side effects! Take care of the area around your eyes correctly and always stay young!
