To figure out what trends in face, eye and lip makeup are worth taking note of, we turned to makeup artist Tatyana Davydenko.

The first and, in my opinion, most important is the skin! In the new year, facial makeup should be radiant and light! I think that the glossy skin effect will be relevant for a long time.

And since, according to Pantone, blue entered the top in 2020, I’m sure that blue shades will go down with a bang! In eye makeup, arrows – clear and shaded, as well as beautiful eyelashes – will remain relevant.

In lip makeup, the focus will still be on the ombre technique, when the contour is done with a darker shade, and the central part of the lips is painted over with a lighter one.

Glow effect

Healthy skin with a natural glow effect is one of the main makeup trends of 2020. Facial makeup should be as light as possible and almost unnoticeable, as if cosmetic products had not touched the girl’s skin at all. A must-have is a natural glow effect , which can be created using liquid highlighters and glosses, using them separately or in tandem with a foundation.

Eye makeup in blue shades

The main color of 2020, according to the Pantone International Research Institute, was classic blue , so we expect makeup artists to provide the most spectacular eye makeup options in this deep shade. Luxurious smoky eyes, fashionable mono-makeup in one color, graphic arrows or blue eyelashes – there are so many options for experimentation!

Emphasis on eyelashes

The spotlight this winter is on eyelashes. Their finest hour has come, so feel free to experiment with eye makeup, inspired by the images of Twiggy, Pat McGrath's feather eyelashes and glued-on metallic eyelashes, as at the Giambattista Valli FW `19/20 show. If these options are too exaggerated, consider the more wearable spider-leg lashes, or simply add an extra layer of mascara.

Fashionable makeup for winter 2020 includes arrows that help change the image beyond recognition. This season, they can be pulled out to the temples to give the look a dramatic look. Mix them with lipsticks in rich berry shades to get a truly vibrant beauty look! For calmer makeup solutions, shaded arrows made in pencil are perfect.

It’s hard to imagine lip makeup in the winter of 2020 without the participation of this luxurious color, which will instantly make even minimal makeup colorful and rich.
