What products are needed for makeup with a tanning effect?

The most popular product that exists specifically to create a tanning effect is bronzer. This darkening product in brownish-reddish shades can be matte or create a glowing effect on the skin with light-reflecting particles in the formulation.

It is important not to confuse bronzer with darkening corrector - they have different functions, textures and shades. If you apply bronzer using a concealer, your makeup will look dirty and unnatural. Use bronzer on its own or as an auxiliary product when blending concealer.

To create a tanning effect, a foundation in a stick a shade or two darker than the client’s skin color can also be suitable. All you need to do is simply sweep this product over your cheeks, forehead and nose and blend well. You can also achieve a soft tan on the apples of your cheeks using warm blush in a golden-bronze or peach shade with shimmering particles.

How to choose a bronzer?

If you decide on bronzer, pay special attention to its color. It should be only 1-2 shades darker than the girl’s skin, otherwise the transitions will be too noticeable. If you don't have a suitable shade in your arsenal (as a rule, bronzers come in rather dark tones), mix the bronzer with a light loose powder.

The choice of bronzer also depends on the client's skin type. If a girl has oily or combination skin, give preference to a matte bronzer, otherwise after a few hours the whole face will have an oily sheen. Give preference to dry textures - they will help make your skin more matte and make your makeup last longer.

Clients with dry and thin skin can use beauty products with radiant particles. As for texture, use liquid and cream options to get a slightly dewy finish and cover up dryness and flaking.
