Makeup trends 2019: a makeup artist's opinion

Fashion weeks, stars, beauty bloggers and world-famous makeup artists - they are the ones who dictate makeup trends for us in 2019, which we will follow for at least another six months. We carefully review beauty looks from the catwalk and red carpet so as not to miss the brightest and boldest trends that will rule the beauty world in the next months and sometimes years. Therefore, ignoring them is an unforgivable mistake. Together with makeup artist Oleg Mashukov, we highlight the main trends in makeup for the face, eyes and lips in 2019, and dwell in detail on the most fashionable shades, techniques and textures to keep up to date with the latest developments.

Face

In facial makeup in 2019, baking is incredibly popular - an American trend that involves the use of baked textures and a large amount of powder. I love baking and use it often - it allows you to achieve a Photoshop effect when your face looks flawless. This technique is especially relevant when working on set.

If we talk about the catwalk and the fashion trend, graphics are trending: black graphic arrows, various geometric shapes and clear lines. In eye makeup this year, one of the most popular shades is turquoise, including those with a radiant effect. By the way, graphics in turquoise color are also welcome. In everyday life, nude will always be relevant - my favorite trend. These are brown and beautiful pinkish shades, unobtrusive smoky eyes. The main thing is that everything should be in moderation - only one emphasis either on the lips or on the eyes. I don’t put two accents in daytime and even evening makeup - this allows it to look harmonious.

Shining shades and glosses are at the peak of popularity in lip makeup. Nude lips are also trending: all shades of beige and pink lipstick. Makeup for the catwalk can be done using sparkles and rhinestones.
