Last week, an online show of the Chanel fall-winter 2020/21 couture collection took place. Traditionally, we figure out how makeup was created and what products are needed to replicate it.

Chanel creative director of makeup Lucia Pica decided to complement the beauty looks of the models with spectacular makeup in the style of a romantic punk. As a result, it’s hard to tear yourself away from the girls’ makeup – all because of the bold combination of shape and color.

“We kept the punk feel of the makeup, moving from rich eyeliner to deep lip makeup, thanks to the subtle use of color,” emphasized Lucia Pica.

The makeup artist also noted that the “romantic punk” makeup theme combines a playful mood and attractive confidence - just what modern women need. A subtle liner on the upper eyelid creates a bold yet sophisticated effect, while soft, shimmering highlights on the top of the cheekbones give the punk-inspired makeup a romantic twist.

How to repeat fashionable makeup from the Chanel show? To even out her skin tone, Lucia Pica used the Eclat Lumiere correcting pencil and Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint foundation. The makeup artist emphasized the texture of the face using the Palette Essentielle facial sculpting palette, and secured the result with Poudre Universelle Libre powder.

To tint and set her brows, Lucia used Stylo Sourcils Waterproof Pencil and Le Gel Sourcils. She applied Baume Essentiel highlighter in Transparent to her eyelids for a soft highlight. The makeup artist drew thin, sophisticated arrows using Le Liner De Chanel in shade No. 512, and emphasized the eyelashes with Le Volume Revolution De Chanel mascara No. 10 Noir.

To give color and a slight shine to her cheekbones, Lucia Pica used a set of two beauty products: Joues Contraste blush in the classic shade No. 320 Rouge Profond and Baume Essentiel highlighter in the shade Rosée from the new fall-winter 2020 collection.

Lips in makeup from the Chanel Haute Couture 2020 show became a key accent, so we recommend paying special attention to them. Lucia decided to experiment and combined two products for the perfect end result: Le Crayon Levres lip pencil in shade No. 194 Rouge Noir and Rouge Coco lipstick in shade No. 494 Attraction.
