At the shows of different designers of all fashion weeks, different hairstyles reigned - smooth buns, various ponytails, and everyone’s favorite wet hair effect.

Turkish fashion designer from London Bora Aksu chose a different style for his show: all models demonstrated large flat waves. And as HJ said in their material , these images were created by hair stylist Daniel Martin for L'Oréal Professionnel.

His muse was Hilma af Klint, a Swedish abstract artist and mystic. “We wanted to achieve a light, airy look with soft, flat waves and a slightly messy dry texture,” comments Daniel.

How to repeat?

  • Separate your hair with a straight parting. If you want to create the effect of airiness and lightness of the hair, and the model’s curls are heavy, create a hidden braid or bun at the back of the head to remove the density. This way you will achieve the effect of airy hair.
  • Next, we spritzed the top layers of hair with L'Oréal Professionnel Tecni.art Beach Waves Salt Spray for a dry, textured wave look.

How to create the same waves?

To create the waves, we used a triple curling iron to help achieve choppy waves.

Let the waves cool and set, and then comb and spray until they cool and “set.” Spray L'Oréal Professionnel Tecni.art Morning After Dust on the front strands and ends of the hair to “open up” the waves.

As a finishing touch, lightly apply L'Oréal Professionnel Tecni.art Super Dust to the edges to improve the dry texture.
