International competition International Visionary Award: the winner's cup goes to Ukraine

On October 10, during an online broadcast from London of the 39th Alternative Hair Show, the results of the international competition International Visionary Award were announced.

This year the Alternative Hair Show is not just a one-night event. This is a global broadcast extravaganza that took place on October 9-10, 2021.

The first-ever virtual show of 2020 allowed Alternative Hair to reach an unprecedented global audience to share the skills of some of the world's best artistic hairdressers, while also raising funds for the charity Alternative Hair: Fighting Leukemia.

This weekend, viewers saw the finals of The International Visionary Award, created by Alternative Hair president Anthony Mascolo to promote new and unknown talent. This year the competition received a large number of applications from hairdressers from all over the world.

The International Visionary Award competition is one of the most prestigious in the hairdressing industry and has been part of the Alternative Hair Show for many years, which is a charity to fight leukemia in children.

The winner in the “Cut and Color” category was Victoria Vradiy , and therefore for the first time in 39 years the winner’s cup is going to Ukraine.

A few words about preparation for the competition from Victoria Vradiy:

“Preparing the final work for the competition took about a month, since it was necessary to come up with a concept image specifically for the Illuminare theme, which was the main theme of the Alternative Hair Show this year.”

In addition to photographs, it was also necessary to shoot a video of the model, according to which the judges evaluated the work. My team and I did an excellent job with all the preparatory stages, and I am happy to be the first Ukrainian stylist to bring this cup to Ukraine.”
