Where to look for new ideas and inspiration for their implementation? Especially if it is catastrophically necessary on Monday? Hair stylists are inspired by the new, bright and unusual works of their colleagues. It’s even cooler when these collections are filled with meaning and the personal philosophy of the author.

The “Tear-Sheets” collection from Antonio Palladino is a set of bright colors, interesting makeup and trendy haircuts. The unusualness lies even in the name itself - tear sheets.

What are tear sheets?

In printed publications, tear sheets are cut or torn pages of a publication that are sent/given to the advertiser as confirmation that the customer’s advertisement has been published. Today, the more common type of “tear sheets” is a PDF file, which is agreed upon with the advertiser. Tear sheets are also used by writers or photographers as proof that their articles or photos have been published.

Closer to the philosophy of the collection

Here is what its creator and hair stylist Antonio Palladino says about the collection: “The collection was inspired by my personal library of fashion magazines and clippings from them - those very “tear sheets” that I have collected for many years and use as references for creative works. When creating the collection, a wide range of coloring, haircuts and styling techniques were used. Each look strives to reflect the style of the hero in the photo or adds subtlety to an era of fashion. We used a wide array of makeup, colors, lighting and more to bring the images together into one unified collection."
