How to wash your hair correctly?
Basic instructions for the master
It would seem that there is nothing complicated or intricate in the hair washing procedure, but, as hairdressers note, this is the most important initial stage of each procedure. An expert and I described how to properly wash the scalp and hair in the master’s basic instructions.

Hair washing is the main procedure in a beauty salon. Almost all processes are associated with washing: cutting, styling, curling, and coloring. In addition, it is this stage of salon procedures that relaxes the client and puts him on the same wavelength as the master.
So where to start? First of all, you need to comb your hair, because it can be tangled. During combing, the hairdresser determines what shampoo and treatment this particular client needs to use, based on the quality and condition of his hair and scalp.
The next step is wetting the hair and scalp (don’t forget to cover the client’s shoulders with a towel or negligee!). Next, adjust the water temperature that is comfortable for the client. Particular attention at this stage should be paid to wetting the scalp. If you don't thoroughly wash your skin, you can forget about high-quality hair styling, for example.
The next step is applying shampoo. There should not be too much of it, usually 10-20 grams is enough. If the shampoo is too thick, you should dilute it with water. Next, thoroughly whip up the foam and begin washing your scalp and hair with massage movements, gently but confidently. Do not massage for too long. Remember that shampoo is still alkaline and can dry out the scalp.
Rinse your hair thoroughly until the foam and soapiness disappear. If necessary, reapply shampoo and perform a second wash. The foam should be very light, not viscous. Rinse your hair again with water and, if necessary, apply a treatment or mask, following the instructions for it. Wrap the towel tightly around the client's head and lead him to the work area. Excess moisture should be removed from the hair using soft, blotting movements; under no circumstances should you “rub” the hair (be sure to tell this to the client, and especially pay attention to the male client!).
Now you can start combing. Use a wide-tooth comb or a special brush. To comb, select small strands and carefully, without tugging, move from the roots to the ends of the hair. Long hair begins to be combed from the middle or ends, gradually moving towards the roots. Finally, all hair should be combed back smoothly. You can proceed to further work and complete the procedure.
