People have a variety of funny stories and anecdotes about blondes. In fact, being born blonde in our country is very rare. But becoming a blonde is quite possible!

There are two ways to achieve a light shade in your hair:

1. Lightening

2. Discoloration

Lightening is the extraction of natural pigment from hair (this definition applies to natural, previously undyed hair). It is performed with a dye and occurs mainly due to hydrogen peroxide.

The alkali that is present in the dye loosens the hair structure and we get a lightening background - it depends on the percentage of the oxidizing agent. The higher the percentage, the higher the brightening ability of the dye.

During the lightening process, hair loses minimal water and lipids thanks to the care components contained in the dye.

And depending on the lightness the client desires, dyes with high lightening power can be used, which can be achieved up to five levels of lightening.

Bleaching is a more aggressive process for hair and can be used on both natural and previously colored hair. It is carried out using special products (powders, powder, paste). They contain persulfates, which loosen the hair in all layers and allow the lightening components to penetrate as deeply as possible into the deep layers of the hair.

You can use bleaching products with different percentages of oxidizer. You need to be extremely careful when working, since the higher the percentage of oxidizing agent, the more aggressive the bleaching process occurs; at high percentages, protein denaturation (its destruction) occurs.

During the bleaching process, we extract natural or cosmetic pigment from the hair, after which it needs to be replenished with artificial pigment - this is possible with the help of tinting dyes. Toning is a mandatory process after the bleaching process.

Before you begin processes that contribute to obtaining light shades in your hair, you definitely need to do a test strand, which will help you choose the most gentle way to achieve the desired result.
