Fleecing technology: for lasting root volume
Let's understand the concept

Root volume is one of the main requests of clients both in hairstyles and styling, but it will last until the next hair wash. If long-term root volume is needed, it is better to use fleece technology.
Fleecing is a technology for imparting stable, long-term root volume to hair that looks natural.
The technology is performed using backcombing and a special fixing agent, which often consists of a permanent bioserum suitable for all hair types. Yes, this is a procedure using chemical compounds, similar to perming, but this technology harms the hair less. And the results from fleecing last up to two to three months.
It is impossible to make fleece without backcombing, because in this case there will be no base for the formation of a disulfide bond.
Among the obvious advantages are:
- reducing hair washing to once a week;
- the volume is maintained in all weather conditions;
- when created, the hair structure does not deteriorate;
- It washes out and grows back imperceptibly.
However, there are also disadvantages to the fleecing procedure:
- the procedure dries out the hair;
- not recommended for severe hair loss;
- cannot be carried out during a period of hormonal changes, since in the end there may be no result.
This procedure, like any other, has its contraindications. You should avoid fleecing it if your hair is too dry, poor-quality bleaching is done, there is inflammation of the scalp, colds or recent surgeries.
On long, thick hair, fleecing may be less effective because the weight of the hair will make the roots less durable.
Fleecing cannot be done on very short hair - there is no way to secure the backcomb.
Gray hair on coarse hair is not affected by fleecing composition, since the lotion for the procedure is made on the basis of cysteine.
How is fleecing technology performed?
The procedure must be performed on clean, dry hair.
Within the designated area, the hair is divided into strands, each is raised 90 degrees and backcombed using the “brickwork” technique - this is necessary to avoid gaps and creases.
Each combed strand should be sprinkled with water, and then the composition should be applied with a sponge.
Depending on the type of hair, the exposure time of the product is determined: usually about 15-30 minutes, sometimes 3-7 minutes.
Next, you need to rinse off the product, apply conditioner or a hair mask, and only then carefully comb your hair with it.
The final stage is drying the hair with a hairdryer.
