The variety of eyebrow makeup products can throw a novice makeup artist into a slight shock. Let's figure out what they are intended for so that you don't make a mistake in your choice.

Eyebrow pencil

Eyebrow makeup with a pencil is one of the most common options. Using the pencil is easy and familiar, which is why many makeup artists choose this product for their work. There are two types of eyebrow pencils: powder and wax.

Powder pencils contain a large amount of pigment, so they give a richer shade than wax pencils. Wooden pencils produce particularly intense color, but they can break when sharpened. Mechanical pencils do not need to be sharpened - this is their advantage. To draw individual hairs, choose mechanical pencils with a thin rod - this way you can adjust the visual thickness of the eyebrows.

Wax pencils give a more shading effect, so they are ideal for creating natural eyebrow makeup. If your eyebrows are thick and well shaped, just use a thick pencil with a wax tip - it will help enhance the overall shade. Mechanical eyebrow pencils with medium and thin rods allow you to draw individual hairs, outline boundaries and fill voids. When pressed firmly, even wax pencils draw a clear line.

Eyebrow shadows

Creating eyebrow makeup with a pencil is not always convenient, so other beauty products come to the rescue. With the help of shadows it is convenient to give the eyebrows a light shade, but changing the shape with their help is problematic. Choose shades without red pigment, then eyebrow makeup with shadows will look natural and harmonious. Apply a lighter shade of shadow to the base of the eyebrow, and draw a darker shade on the tail.

Eyebrow mascara

If you need to visually enlarge your eyebrows, then pay attention to mascara. It not only gives the hairs an intense color, but also increases their volume, making the eyebrows appear wider. It gives approximately the same effect on the eyebrows as mascara on the eyelashes.

Eyebrow liner

As a rule, liners are presented in ash-beige shades and are distinguished by translucent color. They are most convenient for drawing in missing hairs, so every makeup artist needs to have several of these products. Please note that the rod of the liner is thin and elastic.

Gel for eyebrows

This product can be transparent or tinted.

The transparent gel fixes the hairs and comes in a light or strong degree of fixation. With its help you can even create a fashionable effect of wet eyebrows.

Tinting gel gives the eyebrows a soft tint and at the same time securely fixes them. Thanks to the brush, the product is distributed evenly throughout the hairs, so it gives a light tint effect.

Eyebrow pomade

Some makeup artists love eyebrow pomades: they help create a clear shape and draw hairs, and also add tint. Lipsticks, as a rule, are highly pigmented and viscous, so they are presented in jars and must be applied with a brush. Don't forget that after using them your eyebrows may look matte.

Eyebrow wax

Like gel, eyebrow makeup wax can be transparent or tinted.

Clear wax is used to style the brows and give them a dewy finish. It can also be used as a base for shadows - this will make them appear thicker and the color will be more intense. Wax can be presented in a jar, pencil or stick.

Tint wax is usually presented in a tube; it has a dense consistency and rich color. If you overdo it, this product will appear darker on your brows than in the tube. Therefore, first apply it to the palette and only then use a brush on the eyebrows.
