What recommendations should you give to your clients so that their blonde coloring remains high-quality and shiny for as long as possible? There are just a few rules.

What is the most important thing in caring for blonde hair? Blonde is the most complex color, because during lightening, the natural pigment, all the lipids and amino acids, which preserve the quality and shine of the hair, are “taken” from the hair.

In my opinion, the first and most important rule for blondes is to follow “safety precautions.” Blonde hair always needs moisture. It is necessary to use any preparations that moisturize the hair well, and preferably herbal preparations with low molecular weight that can penetrate the hair shaft.

These are low molecule masks that must be applied once every 5-7 days to cleanly washed hair, wrung out of moisture with a towel. Remember that blonde is very fragile, so you need to handle it as carefully as possible. It may be even better to choose not a terry towel, but a cotton or microfiber towel.

Advise your clients to braid a loose braid at night to reduce the degree of mechanical damage to the hair, since during sleep the hair will become tangled, which will make it difficult to comb, and therefore damage the structure.

Second: blonde hair should be carefully combed after washing. To avoid brittleness, you need to apply products to your hair: first, low-molecule products that will penetrate the hair shaft, and then high-molecular oils and fluids for the ends of the hair. And only then delicately comb your hair, starting from the ends and gradually moving to the roots.

Drying and styling blonde

High temperatures are contraindicated for blondes. Try not to use irons with temperatures above 180 degrees and do permanent styling as little as possible. I also recommend avoiding the use of hair dryers with low air flow and high temperature, which means that you should only use professional tools.

I often hear from blonde clients about the problem that their hair does not grow, but at the same time they dye their regrown roots every month. From this we can conclude that the hair actually grows, but breaks off in length. Therefore, I strongly recommend, given that blonde is the most expensive color, to use low molecular weight masks once a week to nourish and moisturize the hair structure.

After products with low molecular weight, it is necessary to close, “seal” the cuticular layer of the hair, for example, with balm.

I would also recommend being careful with dyeing with high percentages of oxidizer. Each time the hair will become more and more fragile. If you can come up with an ideal formula with a 6% oxidizing agent, that will be great.

I also do not recommend tinting your hair every time you color it. Toning is also a procedure that is carried out using an oxidizing agent, at 1.9-3 percent, which can be harmful.

I don't advise blondes to lie in the bathroom for a long time. When hair is immersed in water for 30-40 minutes, it is damaged. The water in the city is alkaline, and such prolonged immersion in water has a bad effect on your hair.

It is very important to apply blonde protection when relaxing on the beach. I would not recommend blondes diving headlong into sea water. Sea water is good for the scalp, but it destroys the hair structure.

I do not recommend letting your hair down while surfing or skating, on jet skis or regular motorcycles, because during such active recreation your hair will get tangled and it will be very difficult to comb it.

But if it happens that your hair is very tangled and cannot be combed, and there are no special products at hand, take suntan cream, apply a little to your hair and sort it out first with your hands, and then comb it. This will help keep the hair structure intact.

For blondes, the most valuable tips would be:

- use a mask once a week - balm after each wash - plus leave-in treatments always according to the hair structure;

- use drugs that stimulate hair growth and work to thicken the hair shaft.
