A good teacher must have perfect knowledge of the subject he is teaching.
This is the first and most important quality for a master who does not just do his work at the chair, but teaches the craft to others. Therefore, before becoming a teacher and in professional activities, you need to have an excellent understanding and deepen your knowledge of the subject in order to pass it on to your students.
A good teacher practices constantly
Practicing is an important part not only of training students and beginning masters, but also for the practice of the teaching master. My opinion is that you need to practice both on models and clients.
A good teacher is attentive to every student
In most cases, hairdressers conduct group courses and seminars, where they need to provide an array of information and demonstrate work within a few days. At the same time, it is important to be able to convey and explain to absolutely every student equally.
You need to be able to demand and you need to be able to praise
It is important to maintain a balance here. You should not go too far with the requirements, while forgetting about praise if the student does an excellent job.
A good teacher learns all the time
If a teacher continues to study after 10/15/20 years of teaching career, this is definitely a good teacher. In our profession, you can and should always learn, there are a lot of offers and a large choice. I always say: if you went to a master class and received at least 10% of new information, that’s great! It is always necessary to improve your knowledge.
