The work of a hairdresser is an ongoing circle of notes, tasks and... workload. To make your job a little easier, British magazine HJ has published just three simple tips to help make your working hours a little happier and easier.

More recently, the professional hairdressing magazine HJ drew attention to the constant workload of hairdressers and salon owners and came up with three small useful tips that you can use to make your work routine a little easier. We have translated this material for you, and leave a link to the original here .

Golden hour

Every person has the most productive phase of the day, during which you can focus as much as possible on the most important thing. Perhaps you are most productive in the hour before lunch, or perhaps in the evening when you leave the salon or have just returned home? In any case, if you work for yourself or own a salon, the work day does not end when the last client leaves. Think about when you are most productive and schedule your most important work for that hour or two. Make some coffee, put on your headphones, and you'll get it done faster than expected.

Task optimization

Most salons use Instagram to promote their business, but sometimes it takes a lot of time, especially if the owner or salon is self-employed and trying to keep up with trends and tons of posts and comments.

One thing you can do that will take a lot of the pressure off of you is to schedule all your posts in advance. This can be done either using Instagram's drafts feature or using third-party apps that can even help you schedule your messages. This means you can do it one night instead of having to come up with a catchy title for your next post while you wait for the dye to cure on your client's hair. You can also use a salon management platform to stay on top of all your appointments, staffing, and finances.

Daily to-do lists

The more disorganized you are, the more beneficial it will be to start writing down a solid to-do list every day. Before you start any work, sit down with coffee for 10 minutes and write down everything you need to do before the end of the day. Return to the list throughout the day, and then, if you don't get something done, move the unfinished tasks to the next day. This will not only increase your productivity, but will also allow you to meet any given deadlines.
