One of the signs of our youth is beautiful lips. Every woman dreams of beautiful, plump, sensual lips. But we are all individual: some have thin lips from birth, while others, due to age-related changes, have lost their clear contour, color and shape.

Modern cosmetology provides many options for correcting the shape and size of lips: augmentation with hyaluronic acid, cheiloplasty, etc. In parallel with them, there are dubious folk remedies that are more experimental in nature than cosmetic, and can cause harm, injury, burns, etc.

The method I propose, which I call “lipsbuilding,” does not require significant effort. The course consists of 6-8 sessions, preferably 2-3 times a week with an interval of 7 days, and then repeat the course again. The procedure lasts 40 minutes. Patients are usually satisfied.

The essence of the technique is to pump the muscles around the lips; by improving blood circulation, the volume of the lips increases, their color improves, the contour becomes clearer, and the lips acquire a healthy, well-groomed appearance.

Aging of the lips begins at the age of 25; the orbicularis oris muscle tends to atrophy over time, as a result of which the lips become thin and “purse-string wrinkles” appear.

Muscles are divided into:

  • levators - they are involved in the movement of the lips, raising the corners of the mouth, upper lip and wings of the nose;
  • depressors are the muscles of the corners of the mouth, which is precisely what this technique works well with.

The procedure is perfect for those who are opposed to invasive techniques or those who have contraindications to injections.

Indications for lip building: thin lips, loss of color, drooping corners of the mouth, prevention of purse-string wrinkles.

Contraindications are the presence of hyaluronic acid gel in the tissues, active herpes, and lip injuries.

No special patient preparation is required. After the session, he can immediately return to his usual lifestyle and sports.

Before the procedure, we remove make-up from the lips with chlorhexidine bigluconate.

Technique 1. Resistance. We place the index finger of the left hand above the upper lip, fixing the skin to avoid the appearance of purse-string wrinkles. We place the index finger of the right hand in the middle of the lips, pressing tightly. Without removing the finger, we ask the patient to extend his lips forward, turning them slightly, as if kissing, with the finger acting as resistance.

The essence of the technique: the orbicularis oris muscle is pumped, blood flow increases, thereby improving the color of the lips and their volume. Repeat 30-50 times.

Technique 2. Vacuum effect.

We press the index finger of the left hand tightly between the patient’s lips and ask him to draw in, as it were, forming a vacuum effect in the oral cavity. To avoid the formation of purse-string wrinkles of the upper lip, place the index finger of your right hand above it, fixing the skin.

The essence of the technique: the “vacuum” movement increases blood circulation in the lips, and the chin muscle is also pumped. Repeat 30-50 times.

Technique 3. Rolling, “emotion of embarrassment.”

Initially, the lips are in a state of rest, then they need to be pinched inward and pulled in, as in the previous “vacuum” technique. Then the movements of rubbing, rubbing the lips are made and, finally, with pursed lips, you need to smile.

The essence of the technique: prevention of purse-string wrinkles, drooping corners of the mouth, improvement of lip color. Repeat 30-50 times.

Technique 4. Fixation-kneading.

We bend the index fingers of both hands in the phalanges, the other three fingers are pressed tightly to the palm, and both thumbs tightly fix the chin. We press two fingers bent at the phalanges to our lips and begin to press, as if we were turning the lower lip down and the upper lip up (an alternative to the Parisian injection technique for turning the lip). This movement should be carried out at the border between the dry and wet areas of the lips. The pressure should be intense, but the patient should not feel pain. It is extremely important to conduct the session carefully, without injuring the already delicate skin of the lips.

The essence of the technique: this movement works well to increase the volume of the lips, the effect of which can be seen immediately after the procedure. It can be called the effect of kissed lips. Repeat 20-30 times.

Technique 5. Contour beautification (“lipsbuilding”).

Using the index and thumb of both hands, we make small, smooth pinches clearly along the contour of the lips, columns of the philtrum, and Cupid's arch. The movements resemble the “sculpting” of a sculptor.

The essence of the technique: beauty of the lip contour, cupid's arch, improvement of the condition of the skin around the lips by improving blood circulation. Repeat 30 times.

Recommendations after the session: apply rosehip oil or sesame oil, this has both a healing effect and nourishes the lips well, and will also create an additional effect of plump, juicy lips.
