How do mushrooms affect the skin?
Mushrooms can communicate not only in direct contact, but also over long distances. They do this through a network of underground fibers called mycelium. Mycelium uses biochemical, electrical and electromagnetic impulses, similar to the nervous system of animals and humans. Hypothetically, the biochemical language of nerve cells in the skin and the biochemistry of mushrooms have certain similarities, and therefore the nervous system of the skin responds to the signals of mushroom extracts.
