Laser medicine: a guide for a cosmetologist
Systematization of laser effects and features of the main groups of technologies

It should be recognized that there is no universal “all-in-one” technology in the world and, therefore, no universal laser system that would solve all the problems our patients come to us with. We will discuss the features of different laser systems and the approach to their selection for solving certain problems of aesthetic medicine in this and the following articles.
The modern market of aesthetic medicine services is complex and diverse. Today it is impossible to imagine it without laser technologies. They allow the clinic to differ from ordinary centers in many ways.
The advantages of using laser technologies are obvious. However, the number of complications associated with the incorrect use of lasers is also growing at a tremendous rate. The complexity and variety of laser systems offered often leads to the wrong choice of technique for solving a specific problem.
As a result of such errors, patients develop a negative attitude towards laser technologies. In almost 100% of cases (excluding direct errors by the doctor in choosing the laser), the basis of the negative reaction is the discrepancy between the expected (declared in advertising) and the obtained result.
