Care of delicate areas: the focus is on the eyes
Physiological features of the skin around the eyes
It is the condition of the areas of the skin, which are called "delicate", that best reveals a person's age. Most often, these are open areas: the skin around the eyes, lips, hands, neck, décolleté. We explain why and how this happens.
The fight against aging for women usually begins with the skin around the eyes, because this is where the first age-related changes appear: fine lines, dark circles, puffiness, etc. And this is not surprising, because the skin of the eyelids consists of a much smaller number of rows of cells in the epidermis, and its stratum corneum is three to four times thinner than in all other parts of the body.
Starting from the age of 20-25, the eye area needs special care, which consists in adequate cleansing, moisturizing, toning, and lymphatic drainage.
The skin around the eyes after 35–40 years requires a qualitatively different approach. Fatty hernias in the form of "bags" on the lower eyelids become noticeable, the upper eyelids droop, wrinkles deepen and become fixed.
