Peloid therapy

One of the most ancient methods of treatment using natural remedies is mud therapy, or pelotherapy (from the Greek pelos - silt, clay, therapia - treatment).
Historians report on ancient Egyptian manuscripts, in which they find evidence of the use of mud for medicinal purposes - the "sacred silt", which remained after the flood of the Nile River, was used in the form of hot mud wraps to treat various diseases. Treatment with healing mud was also widespread in ancient India. Mud baths were famous in Italy as early as 1340. They noticed the rapid healing of wounds on the legs of horses passing through the mud along the mineral streams. Since then, mud infused with mineral water has been called fango - Fangotermale.
