Couperosis
Couperosis, or telangiectasia, is a persistent expansion of small vessels of the skin (arterioles, venules, capillaries) of a non-inflammatory nature, which is manifested by vascular stars or meshes of various sizes and shapes. Clinically, this is manifested by constant redness of the skin area with this vascular defect. The diameter of dilated vessels varies from 0.5 to 1 mm.
Cooperosis is a common skin disease among the inhabitants of Europe, and about 13 million people suffer from it in the United States. Etiological factors of couperosis and rosacea have not yet been clarified. There are opinions about the existing relationship with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, often the disease develops in people with arterial hypertension.
